Jeffery A. Brooks

Spring 2016, School of Politics and Global Studies, Jr. Fellow

Jeffery A. Brooks is an undergraduate student at Barrett, The Honors College at Arizona State University double majoring in Political Science and History. Mr. Brooks’ research interests lie in Counterinsurgency and Cold War History and how to apply lessons learned from the Cold War to American future endeavors, particularly against non-state actors. His most recent research paper focused on CIA Subversive campaigns in the early years of the Cold War and its importance in Containment strategy. Mr. Brooks also serves on the Executive Council of the American Enterprise Institute at Arizona State and as a member of the Alexander Hamilton Society. He plans on obtaining a Ph. D. in History after graduation, hoping to continue his policy research interests.

Christopher Dendy

Christopher Dendy is currently in his third year as an undergraduate student at Arizona State University's Barrett Honors College, where he is pursuing a degree in Global Studies. He is also pursuing concurrent degrees in French and European History and briefly studied Turkish abroad in Izmir, Turkey. Christopher has for years nurtured interests in world history and politics, and can frequently be found at his local library, reading and writing. Though terrified of the Great Unknown that is the future, he plans to pursue a career with his local municipal government.

John Luebke

Spring 2016 School of Politics and Global Studies Jr. Fellow

John Luebke is majoring in history and political science and earning certificates in international studies and political entrepreneurship. He served in the United States Marine Corp as an infantryman on four deployments, three to Afghanistan, and was awarded a Commendation Medal with for valor and heroism in combat. He is conducting an internship with Congressman Ruben Gallego of Arizona’s 7th District, chairs Professional Development for the ASU Student Veterans Association and plans to pursue either a Ph.D. In history or a law degree.
